This role in summary

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for a Procurement Analyst.  This role will be located in Mount Pleasant, WI.

In this role, you will primarily support direct material procurement (packaging, print, and outside services such as kitting, coatings, heat treatment) within the InSinkerator business unit. This position will engage cross functional stakeholders and utilize effective supplier relationship management techniques to enhance commercial and operational performance. 

Your responsibilities will include

• Define sourcing strategy for assigned commodities
• Assemble request for quote (RFQ) packages, and execute competitive quoting and benchmarking activities
• Support cross functional teams such as product management, marketing, and engineering to implement new product launches (NPD), design changes, etc  
• Work with supplier quality team and assigned suppliers to improve performance (quality, delivery, ec)
• Develop a pipeline of and execute cost savings initiatives for assigned commodities through resourcing activities, supplier negotiations, and value analysis value engineering (VAVE) activities 
• Work collaboratively with other Whirlpool sourcing team members to ensure strategy optimization

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain

Preferred skills and experiences

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or Engineering
• Demonstrated practical use of supplier management and sourcing principles
• Proven communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and management skills
• Analytical and computer related skills. Oracle experience is a plus
• Manage and prioritize multiple key activities
• Build strong rapport and relationships with internal process partners and suppliers
• Driven individual with a vision and work ethic required for future growth
