DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
This individual shall assist the Program Director in the operation and management of the THP Plus Program according to agency purpose, philosophy, goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Ensure that all staff comply with licensing regulations, mandated reporting requirements, and agency standards.
- Provide liaison services to county and state agencies, and the community.
- Supervise and participate in all employee hiring, disciplinary and termination procedures as approved by the Program Director.
- Prepare and conduct the Performance Evaluation Process with supervised personnel.
- Communicate with the Program Director on a weekly basis, or more often if needed, for information exchange, assistance and guidance.
- Conduct social worker staff meetings.
- Meet with social workers on an individual basis for case conference at least once per week to provide clinical guidance, training, and direction as needed.
- Assist in providing initial training for new social workers and ongoing training for the social workers.
- Assign cases and review case files as appropriate.
- Review and approve all reports and significant correspondence prior to mailing. Assist staff with writing, assessment, and treatment skills to eliminate errors and inconsistencies for quality assurance purposes.
- Provide crisis intervention in accordance with established on-call guidelines.
- Assume all functions of the Program Director in his/her absence.
- At all times projects a favorable image of Walden Family Services.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- The position requires that the individual be knowledgeable of and be in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations of the client population served and the programs provided. The individual must have the ability to work effectively with others, manage personnel and program issues as they apply to the position.
- Appropriate experience and education in a related field:
(A) A Master’s degree is required in a field approved by the State Department of Social Services Community Licensing Regulations and(B) Supervisory experience demonstrating skills in areas such as supervision, communication, training, is preferred.3. Must possess valid California Driver’s License and have a good driving record.4. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearances from the Department of Justice.5. Must meet all requirements set by Community Care Licensing pertaining to the hiring of employees by a licensed community care facility.
EMPLOYEE STATUS: Exempt SALARY RANGE: $68,500 - $72,000PRIMARY SUPERVISOR: THP Program Director
