The Human Resources Information Tech (HRIT) Analyst is responsible for maintaining and providing IT support for HRIT systems including troubleshooting, collecting and analyzing data, compiling reports, training staff on the system, developing and implementing process improvements, and providing customer service. Responsible for the overall system performance and maintenance for external or third-party software, including ensuring information security, supporting and testing system updates and other technical projects as assigned.
Job Duties:Acts as the primary point of contact for HRIT daily functional support and training. Provides support for HRIT, including researching and resolving HR Systems problems, unexpected results, or process flaws. Performs scheduled activities and system maintenance for external and third-party software. Recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet department requirements. Assists in the review, testing, and configuration of HRIT upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate the application of an upgrade or fix. Develops and enhances business processes. Writes, maintains and supports a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Assists in the development of standard reports for ongoing department needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data. Develops and delivers training on the HRIT system. Works with supervisors to identify training gaps and then develops specific training modules for those employees/areas. Maintains awareness of current trends with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, applying key technologies, and best practices. Examines trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques. Participates in user group meetings/conferences. Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to identify problems, propose solutions, and track current trends. Provides support which includes troubleshooting and resolving problems. May also perform system testing for updates. Works with IT to plan and execute integration and testing. Creates system specifications to meet the department’s requirements. Works in collaboration with HR management to recommend, develop and implement best practices and cost-effective solutions. Designs and develops user procedures, guidelines, and documentation resources that convey clear and concise directions for system users. Conducts audits to ensure data integrity and data security are in line with Cherokee Nation policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Information Technology or other business related field; or six (6) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
One (1) additional year of related experience is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software; Word Processing software; Development software; and Payroll systems.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid drivers’ license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
