Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and adoption of AI-powered legal technologies, including tools for contract review, clause extraction, workflow automation, predictive analytics, and document summarization/drafting.
- Assist with the evaluation, testing, and comparison of new legal technologies, with a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.
- Help gather feedback from lawyers, paralegals, and staff to understand their needs, identify pain points, and translate insights into actionable requirements.
- Design, develop, and iterate on custom AI agents (e.g., GPTs, intelligent workflows, RAG, personas) tailored to specific legal use cases such as due diligence, matter intake, contract review, and knowledge retrieval, in collaboration with subject matter experts and legal teams.
- Coordinate pilot programs for AI tools and innovation initiatives, tracking usage, engagement, and ROI metrics.
- Conduct testing, validation, and feedback loops for AI-driven solutions to ensure legal accuracy, usability, and alignment with practice group needs, incorporating user feedback and performance metrics into ongoing refinement and deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure innovation projects meet functional, technical, and compliance requirements, especially around data privacy and information security.
- Maintain clear records of project status, user feedback, and technology assessments to guide future enhancements and adoption strategies.
- Support training sessions and demos for in-house developed AI agents and tools and help create targeted enablement materials such as quick reference guides, video tutorials, and FAQs to drive adoption and effective use across legal teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or certifications related to legal technology, project management, or AI tools are a plus.
- 3–4 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a law firm, corporate legal department, or legal technology function.
- Demonstrated interest in AI and emerging legal technologies, especially in areas like contract analysis, document automation, extraction and drafting tools.
- Familiarity with or exposure to legal/business tools such as Litera, Harvey, OpenAI, DeepL, DocuSign, HighQ, or Microsoft 365.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a proactive, growth-oriented mindset.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Collaborative and service-minded, with a desire to work cross-functionally and support innovation across the firm.
