Entertainment Security Officers are responsible for providing exceptional service to each and every guest. They are additionally responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and Company assets.  Each Entertainment Security Officer will perform responsibilities in accordance with all Government, State, Local, Company compliance standards, policies, and procedures.

Job Focus: 
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

  • Monitor the venue at all times.
  • Resolve all complaints and issues for both guests and employees.
  • Provide friendly courteous service to every guest.
  • Be knowledgeable of the venue, hotel and executive members of management.
  • Responds to emergencies as needed.
  • Act as a First Responder in emergency situations, including water rescue, CPR, and first aid.
  • Perform lifeguard monitoring in the zone of responsibility in accordance with Southern Nevada Health District regulations (including but not limited to 4-304.3)
  • Setup, maintain, breakdown stanchions and/or crowd control equipment.
  • Fill out any and all paperwork as necessary or assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous security experience in a high-volume venue is preferred but not required.
  • 1 or more years of hospitality experience.
  • Bilingual skills are not required but preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the English language.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a valid Nevada Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration and Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Employees and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Successfully complete a LIFEGUARD training course from a recognized agency and maintain the certification as a lifeguard for duration of time in position.
  • Gaming Registration, Alcohol Awareness Card, and valid Nevada Driver License required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
  • Ability to subdue person(s), ability to run, climb stairs, sit, stand, and walk for an extended period. 
  • Ability to drag an unconscious person during an evacuation or emergency.
  • Acute sense of smell and sound, and the ability to communicate using a two-way radio and telephone.

W ORK CONDITIONS:

  • Work will include indoor and/or outdoor areas. Must have the ability to withstand high temperatures, heat and sun exposure.
  • Work is typically in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain second hand smoke.  Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. access.  Tasks are performed from a non-sitting and sitting position.  Employees will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp. 
  • These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. 
  • Able to wear and use a portable radio and headset.
  • Willing to work in a loud and smoke filled environment.
