Job Title: HR Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Portland, Oregon - This is an in-office position.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Starting at $20.00/hour, depending on experience.

We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our growing team of professionals who are making a meaningful impact every day.
Position Summary:
The HR Assistant will play a key role in supporting our Human Resources department, helping ensure the effective and compliant operation of HR functions within a high-impact behavioral health setting. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, professional, and passionate about supporting teams who work directly with youth and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, credential verification, and training coordination
- Respond to HR-related inquiries from staff and leadership, offering guidance in alignment with policy and values
- Help implement and maintain HR policies and procedures tailored to a behavioral health setting
- Ensure HR operations comply with healthcare regulations, including licensing and certification requirements
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, reporting, and data entry
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
- At least 1 year of HR or administrative support experience, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); HRIS and/or healthcare system experience a plus
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, especially in relation to sensitive employee and client information
