Position Summary: This position is primarily responsible for generating new sales opportunities and to support and maximize profitable growth. This position will also be responsible for improving effectiveness, perception and sales volume through interactions with mid to large commercial, State and local end users as well as the Architecture and Design (A&D) firms, Project Management firms (PM), Commercial Real-estate Brokers, and General Contractors (GC). 
 
Essential Functions:

  • Develop, plan and execute company sales and marketing strategies directed at mid to large commercial end users, A&D firms, PM firms, GC’s and Brokers.
  • Identify and develop sales leads for new business through new relationships that generate additional leads.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, project managers, key influencers (A&D, GC) that result in selling opportunities.
  • Monitor clients and identify opportunities for attracting, selling to, and retaining a relationship with that client and then introducing a Project manager into the account once a project is identified and the initial client contact has been established.
  • Strategize with project solutions & Marketing team on selling approach and product positioning in support of project opportunities.
  • Document all customer contact and information.
  • Source new leads and secure new business through pro-active approaches i.e. face to face sales, canvassing, e-mail blasts, phone sales, networking, etc.
  • Create visibility and strong social ties through participation in industry related networking groups and activities; including those that support our partners.
  • The ability to attend networking events before and after standard work hours is necessity
  • Manage and generate sales activities within region of responsibility. Use company provided contact relationship management tools to identify, track and manage opportunities completely through the sales cycle.
  • Make persuasive presentations on products, service offerings and capabilities.
  • Confer with supervisor and peers in the development of business activities inclusive of coordinating selling efforts in a complex, team oriented selling environment.
  • Identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers. 
  • Assists in the development of a strong pipeline of new customers and projects in accounts through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting. 
  • Works with marketing, sales, to implement business development initiatives. Maintain positive working relationships with all company and region members.


Requirements:

  • Significant experience in sales (interiors) and a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Knowledge of office environment issues and general business trends.
  • Ability to identify and positively influence key decision makers and influencers.
  • Unsurpassed communication and presentation skills, organization, and customer (internal and external) support orientation.
  • Positive "can do" attitude and commitment to professionalism, integrity and sound judgment.
  • Ability to successfully interact across business functions, 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and ability to enhance culture and member capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with prior leadership experience.

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Education & Experience:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of business to business sales and/or development experience. 

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employees are regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.      

 

Working Conditions:

General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available

Pay: $100,000 to $140,000 annually with commission.
