As a Production Scheduler at Ryerson, you will be responsible for scheduling of processing equipment and material allocation for orders, to ensure the most efficient utilization and 100% on-time delivery to the customer.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Scheduling and coordination of all processing equipment to include cut-to-length lines
• Management of proper machine capacity and available work hours
• Allocation of material for orders
• Adjustments to schedule based on customer need, equipment downtime, etc.
• Conflict resolution communicated to sales and operation management
• Customer satisfaction managemetn of Quality with a 98% on-time delivery requipments
• Minimizing overtime expenses by producing an efficient production schedule
• Identification and implementation of continous improvements in all work processes
• All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements

• GED/HS Diploma required; 2-year degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a high volume production scheduling position
• Proficiency with all MS Office software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Root cause anakysis skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks
• Self-motivated, results-oriented team player
• Customer focused
