As a Production Scheduler at Ryerson, you will be responsible for scheduling of processing equipment and material allocation for orders, to ensure the most efficient utilization and 100% on-time delivery to the customer.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Scheduling and coordination of all processing equipment to include cut-to-length lines
- Management of proper machine capacity and available work hours
- Allocation of material for orders
- Adjustments to schedule based on customer need, equipment downtime, etc.
- Conflict resolution communicated to sales and operation management
- Customer satisfaction managemetn of Quality with a 98% on-time delivery requipments
- Minimizing overtime expenses by producing an efficient production schedule
- Identification and implementation of continous improvements in all work processes
- All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Requirements
- GED/HS Diploma required; 2-year degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a high volume production scheduling position
- Proficiency with all MS Office software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Root cause anakysis skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks
- Self-motivated, results-oriented team player
- Customer focused
