Visionist has an exciting new opportunity for a corporate Information System Security Officer (ISSO). In this role, you'll be the at the forefront of our cybersecurity compliance efforts, supporting multiple critical IC contracts as well as corporate security efforts. You’ll be ensuring our systems meet the highest security standards through comprehensive Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation and emerging CMMC compliance requirements.
As an ISSO, you'll guide multiple programs through the complete RMF lifecycle—from initial system categorization through continuous monitoring—while also supporting corporate initiatives for CMMC Level 2 compliance. This position offers the unique opportunity to work across both mission and corporate spaces, implementing security solutions that protect our nation's most sensitive information systems.
You'll collaborate with system administrators, developers, and program managers to design and implement security architectures that meet evolving DoD requirements. Your expertise will be crucial as we navigate both traditional RMF processes and the new CMMC framework implementation, positioning Visionist and our customers for success in the changing compliance landscape.
This role requires a security professional who can balance technical expertise with strong communication skills, managing multiple SSPs simultaneously while coordinating with ISSMs, ISSOs, and Authorizing Officials to achieve and maintain system authorizations.

- Execute complete RMF lifecycle across multiple programs, from system categorization through continuous monitoring
- Develop and maintain comprehensive System Security Plans (SSPs) with all required artifacts and diagrams
- Lead security control implementation efforts, ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53 and applicable STIGs
- Coordinate vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts using enterprise scanning tools
- Design and implement CMMC compliance strategies, conducting gap analyses and developing remediation roadmaps
- Manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to track and resolve security deficiencies
- Interface with ISSMs, DAOs, and other stakeholders to achieve and maintain system authorizations
- Ensure continuous monitoring capabilities meet organizational and regulatory requirements

Requirements for your new career…
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience as an ISSO
- DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 1 or higher

Salary range: $150,000 - $180,000
