Austin Industrial is currently seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our staff located in Baytown, TX. Must be a dependable driver capable of operating a variety of vehicles including 18-wheelers for hauling materials and equipment. Must have rigging experience and be able to rig their own loads. When not on the road, the driver will assist with tasks across yard divisions and provide general support. Other duties assigned. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate Class A vehicles, including 18-wheelers, for local and regional hauls

  • Rig and secure all loads independently

  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues

  • Assist with yard operations and support other divisions when not hauling

  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork

  • Comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards

  • Be available for overtime and overnight hauls as needed

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:

  • Experience – 3- 5 years of verifiable CDL experience

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) 
  • Valid TWIC card
  • DOT physical completed and current
  • Ability to log in to CDL-computer systems (you’ll need to create a joiner profile upon hiring)
  • Meet physical demands as listed above
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location
  • Rig and secure all loads independently
  • Comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards
