Job Description:Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team supporting the Office of the Assistant Secretary (OAS) within the Industry & Analysis (I&A) unit at the International Trade Administration (ITA). In this role, you will support senior leadership by delivering high-quality administrative services and helping to ensure the smooth operation of internal and external engagements, briefings, and communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-level administrative support to I&A senior leadership and program offices.
Update and maintain internal trackers and schedules.
Gather and organize content for briefing materials and reports.
Arrange and coordinate meetings (internal/external), including stakeholder logistics.
Schedule and manage executive travel, including coordination and itinerary development.
Draft and edit email communications for internal and external dissemination.
Update documents, templates, and records in support of ongoing operations.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of professional administrative experience, preferably supporting federal programs or executive leadership.
Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Experience supporting government stakeholders is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, public administration, or a related field.
Experience coordinating travel for federal leadership (e.g., using E2 Solutions or similar systems).
Familiarity with federal processes, internal briefing workflows, and communication protocols.
Employment is contingent upon contract award.
