Job Description:

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team supporting the Office of the Assistant Secretary (OAS) within the Industry & Analysis (I&A) unit at the International Trade Administration (ITA). In this role, you will support senior leadership by delivering high-quality administrative services and helping to ensure the smooth operation of internal and external engagements, briefings, and communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative support to I&A senior leadership and program offices.

  • Update and maintain internal trackers and schedules.

  • Gather and organize content for briefing materials and reports.

  • Arrange and coordinate meetings (internal/external), including stakeholder logistics.

  • Schedule and manage executive travel, including coordination and itinerary development.

  • Draft and edit email communications for internal and external dissemination.

  • Update documents, templates, and records in support of ongoing operations.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional administrative experience, preferably supporting federal programs or executive leadership.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

  • Experience supporting government stakeholders is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, public administration, or a related field.

  • Experience coordinating travel for federal leadership (e.g., using E2 Solutions or similar systems).

  • Familiarity with federal processes, internal briefing workflows, and communication protocols.
