This position has the flexibility to be located at other Insurance branch locations depending on client relationships and servicing needs.
Sales and Marketing
• Generate new business: Actively prospect new leads through cold calling, networking, and following up on referrals.
• Create proposals and quotes: Interview prospective clients to understand their needs, financial resources, and existing coverage. Then, provide customized policy options and quotes calculations.
• Market Policies: Promote and sell various types of insurance, to include personal lines, health, and life insurance.
Client Service and Account Management
• Manage client relationships: Build and maintain long-term relationships through regular communication and follow-up.
• Conduct policy reviews: Perform annual or periodic reviews of clients’ policies to recommend adjustments, add-ons, or changes in coverage as their needs change.
• Process policy changes: Assist clients with policy changes such as additions or deletions, modifications to their policies, process payments, and explain billings.
• Assist with claims: guide policy holders through the claims process, help with documentation, and act as a liaison with the insurance carrier.
Administrative
• Maintain client records: ensure all client and policy information is accurate and kept confidential.
• Process applications: complete and submit applications and other paperwork to the insurance carrier for underwriting and approval.
• Manage policy renewals: track renewal dates and ensure policies remain active, contacting clients in advance to review their coverage, assess risks that pay increase premiums.
• Stay current on regulations.
• Licensing: must possess a valid state insurance license for each line of authority, stay current with CEU hours, and certifications.
• Create new insurance policies for clients, collecting all necessary information and filling out all the required forms.
• Perform various clerical tasks in the office that include answering phones, copying forms and typing documents.
