Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM 

Compensation: Hourly rates range from $20.87 to $22.00, dependent on experience


Responsibilities: 

  • Greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle reminder and no-show calls.
  • Manage all workers’ compensation visits.
  • Fax and/or email all necessary m-forms and dictations as required by insurance or employers.
  • Attach all scanned documents and faxes to patients’ files.
  • Prepare and process charts for new patients and Physical Therapy.
  • Handle pre-authorizations, including contacting insurance carriers for JSA/FCE authorizations.
  • Obtain reports from referring providers for patient follow-ups.
  • Ensure that providers sign off on required paperwork (e.g., M-forms from Nurse Practitioners).
  • Maintain cleanliness of the office and waiting room.
  • Ensure all services performed are billed and entered into the system
  • Request medical records from other facilities upon provider’s request.
  • Run recall reports.
  • Perform some back office Medical Assistant duties, with training provided.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of recent experience in a fast-paced medical office environment preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
