Our 8th graders have been actively learning about and working on their high school applications. As the high school application season approaches, refining their interview skills will be critical and this is where you come in! We need you to act as a high school admissions counselor to give them valuable experience applying these skills!
Date: Saturday, October 4th
Time: 10am - 1pm

Volunteer Responsibilities
- Volunteers will lead 8th graders through a 20-minute sample high school admissions interview. Breakthrough New York will provide an interview guide with questions to ask and a rubric to measure students' responses.
- After the mock interview, volunteers will provide feedback based on the rubric and work with students on applying it and refining their answers.
- Volunteers will repeat this process for the three students they interview.
