Job Summary
Whether a specific satellite for a specific mission or a constellation of interconnected spacecraft, the GA-EMS Space Systems team is re-defining how customers can access the possibilities of space. GA-EMS offers modular and scalable satellite platforms backed with a history of operational flight experience to support defense, civil, commercial, and academic mission requirements.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assembly, Test, & Launch Ops (ATLO) IPT Lead Engineer working on satellite systems to join our team located in Centennial, CO. In this role, you will be accountable for planning and execution of System and Segment-level integration and test of space systems at GA-EMS.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for technical, cost and schedule execution of the program’s ATLO IPT.
- Ensures all IPT work products are produced in accordance with the project plan to satisfy the customer requirements.
- Ensures all IPT work product are completed on cost and schedule.
- Define IMS tasks required to complete IPT scope of work to achieve program milestones.
- Control account manager for assigned control accounts.
- Accountable for execution of program Assembly & Integration, Satellite Test, Ground Test, MGSE, EGSE, & Launch Operations.
- Responsible for external stakeholder engagement for IPT’s scope of work frequently collaborating with customers, subcontractors and mission partners.
- Spearhead the creation and/or peer review of typical ATLO IPT deliverables which include:
- Test Plans
- Test Flows
- Test Procedures
- Test Configurations
- MGSE/EGSE Drawings & Manuals
- Anomaly Documentation
- Test Reports
- Test Status
- Ensure the execution of program test and troubleshoot complex electronics systems from the component level to the system functionality level.
- Contributes to conduct of program design and readiness reviews.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; twelve or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, ten or more years of experience with a masters degree, or seven or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Familiarity with satellite environmental testing such as MIL-STD-810, SMC-S-016, and GEVS.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required enabling an effective leadership interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives.
- Familiarity with the following tools is desired: Cameo or Magic Draw, DOORS, Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence).
- Must be able to work extended hours or weekends, as required, during SV test events.
- Active Top Secret Clearance required, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Security Clearance.
