Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Lead LPN/RN for Full-time days!
We are seeking an experienced and flexible Clinical Assistant to join our ambulatory primary care and specialty clinic. The ideal candidate, whether an MA< LPN or RN with leadership experience, will support the Nurse Manager in overseeing clinical operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care within a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. This role requires a blend of leadership and hands-on clinical skills, with the ability to step into staffing roles as needed. *This position works Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm*
As a Clinical Assistant, you will:
- Assist the Clinic Manager in overseeing day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to clinical staff, including RNs and LPNs.
- Coordinate staff schedules, assignments, and time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
- Lead team huddles and meetings, promoting communication and collaboration among the care team.
- Perform clinical tasks as needed, including patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, and other nursing procedures.
- Engage patients and their families in care planning and decision-making, promoting self-management and shared decision-making.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records, managing inventory, and ordering supplies.
- Monitor clinical performance metrics and assist in implementing improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant MA or Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), with an active and unrestricted license or certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty clinic, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Familiarity with Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Patient Centered Specialty Practice (PCSP) concepts and their implementation.
- BLS Certification required at the time of hire
