About the Role:
The Hi-Vi Small Coil Winder/Assembler operates wire-coiling machines to wind wire coils used in electrical components. Operate metal or plastic forming equipment. Review work orders and specifications to determine materials needed and types of parts to be processed. This position ensures customer satisfaction by providing safe, reliable operation of Eriez equipment that is intended to protect our customers and their customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work where needed, as directed by immediate manager or leadman.
- Willing to learn new job skills pertaining to HIVI, Coil assembly and other assigned duties.
- Willing and able to work with others as required.
- Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by manager.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor.
- Able to operate tools including but not limited to, hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, etc.
- Ability to learn Eriez labor and work order collection system.
- Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- More than 2 years of general assembly job experience or specialized training
- Skills in mechanics and technology
- Concentrate on quality assurance.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and use basic shop math including decimals and fractions.
- Able to read and follow engineering drawings, assembly procedures, instruction manuals and material/pick lists to complete assemblies.
- Able to use specialized tools/fixtures, both electrical and mechanical to complete assembly.
- Able to operate coil winding machines.
- Able to use epoxies and adhesives as required in assembly applications.
- Able to work in a safe manner dealing with powerful magnets and high voltage.
- Perform assembly work in other assembly areas as directed by supervisor/leadman.
- Able to operate magnetic charger.

Hourly Pay: $19.19 / Hr.-21.55 / Hr. (Commensurate with experience)
