HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (Hazmat Low)

Primary Responsibility: Reports directly to Shift Lead, inspect and operates all types of Heavy Equipment Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in support of A/DACG operations, including transportation of HAZMAT loads. Must have a working knowledge of container operations including container lifting systems. Loads and unloads pallets, supplies, equipment from docks, trucks, K­Loaders and other conveyances. Enforces safety practices and documents all procedures. Complies with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, and workplace rules. 

Major Functions: Operates lOK forklift in support of mission. Performs site surveys and risk assessments to determine safe lifting capacities, and safe environment of un/loading operations. Reports any maintenance or operational discrepancies to the Shift Lead. Performs Daily Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and maintains equipment logs. Plans and executes the on/offloading of different type of military and commercial containers. Comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, and Working Rules. Performs other duties as assigned.
