- Valid CTE teaching certification in one of the listed fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a CTE classroom.
- Demonstrated experience leading/facilitating teacher groups.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Passion for mentoring peers and advancing CTE education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with instructional coaching or professional development facilitation.
- Familiarity with equity-centered teaching practices and 21st-century skills.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in your CTE field.

SDCOE is recruiting Champion Teachers in the following CTE domains:
- Computing and Technology
- Healthcare
- Education
- Climate-related STEM
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate in person and virtual, in-depth CoP meetings per semester in your subject area, engaging peers in meaningful dialogue, resource sharing, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and thought leader within your CoP, guiding discussions and supporting CTE teachers.
- Collaborate regularly with the GSPP Project Specialist to plan CoP agendas, align with grant goals, and evaluate impact.
- Organize with GSPP Project Specialist to offer site visits and industry tours for CoP participants.
- Develop CoP to promote attendance and foster a culture of engagement, equity, and innovation.
- Document and share outcomes from CoP meetings, including key takeaways, resources, and action items.
- Must be available to meet virtually, 4-6 p.m., Tuesday or Wednesday every other week, through June 30, 2026.

In addition to the completion of pre-employment paperwork, applicants must have fingerprints conducted through Livescan service if they do not already have cleared fingerprints through the San Diego County Fingerprint Clearinghouse. SDCOE Fingerprint Clearinghouse out-of-pocket fee is $77.
