The Westminster School District, located in West Orange County, operates 17 schools: 13 elementary sites, three middle schools, and one site which provides preschool programs. The District has approximately 1,100 employees.
The Westminster School District is recognized for high academic achievement and serves about 8,200 students, grades Preschool-8th. The district offers a broad scope of supplemental instructional programs including two dual immersion programs, GATE academy, music and band, exploratory STEAM/Coding programs, and state-of-the-art science and art facilities. Modern library-media centers, integration of technology, and specialized instruction help provide a well-balanced and rigorous curriculum to support students to become innovative, critical thinkers who readily adapt to a rapidly changing 21st-century environment.
Job Summary
EARLY EDUCATION INFANT ASSISTANT
Full-time position 40 hours per week, 12 months per year

Required Documents
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (1) Graduation from high school; (2) Six college semester units in early childhood education which must include a 3-unit course in the care and education of infants; (3) An additional six college semester units in early childhood education within twelve months of employment; (4) At least six months of demonstrated experience working with children 3-months to 5 years of age; Note: All course work must be completed with a “C” or better from a regionally accredited college. Early childhood courses must include childhood growth & development or human growth and development; child/family/community or child and family relations; and programs/curriculum. Transcripts must be attached.
Requirements / Qualifications
THE POSITION: Persons employed in this classification work under the direction of and provide assistance to an Early Education Infant Instructor or other assigned supervisor in the care, training, and supervision of children between the ages of three (3) months and eighteen (18) months. This classification is assigned to a work schedule consistent with the needs of the Early Education Program, which may differ from the regular school district calendar and work schedule

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: The possession of or the securing of a valid CPR and First-Aid Certificate, or the completion of the Westminster School District basic first-aid training program, within thirty (30) days of employment in this classification.
