Job Summary
Under the direction of a program administrator, perform the necessary, non-clinical tasks to implement health policies and procedures while ensuring health compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards; and, provide health education information to teachers, parents, and children.
Requirements / Qualifications
SCOE Classified Application
Must be 18 Years of Age.
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years of experience in health services, Head Start, State Preschool, or a related environment such as medical office or school nurse office.
THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR APPLICATION:
(ALL Applicants, both Internal & External MUST submit these documents with their application)
- Valid Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) approved CPR and First Aid Certification covering adult, child, and infant (pediatric) using any of the following curricula:
- American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), or
- American Heart Association (AHA), or
- American Red Cross (ARC), or
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid offered at accredited colleges and universities.
Front & back of the card with expiration date.
ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following documents are not required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment: DOJ Clearance/FBI/CACI, Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance, Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance. Valid California driver's license. Mandated Reporter Training is required within the first six weeks of employment.
Salary Info
(Range 7, CFS CSEA Classified Regular Salary Schedule) Please note: Initial salary placement is restricted to a maximum of Step 3 ($24.00 hr.) for external applicants.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Driver's License.
Driving a SCOE vehicle.
Required to provide own transportation and must have proof of insurance.
BENEFITS: A Benefit Entitlement for health, dental and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.
