Position Summary

The Product Finisher is a high-energy role requiring constant movement throughout the workday. The incumbent heat welds and installs grommets on printed vinyl billboard advertisements, banners, and ships finished product for installation. The Product Finisher is responsible for maintaining quality control and ensuring timely shipment of all finished products in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. Additional responsibilities include maintaining shop cleanliness, performing machine maintenance, and managing supplies.


Essential Job Functions and Tasks- These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

  • Quality Control: Verifies print quality of supplied vinyl, reviewing for defects and immediately reporting any quality issues or errors to the Supervisor.
  • Product Finishing: Finishes vinyl products using a heat welder, adding grommets, or other finishing items as required, while maintaining efficiency to meet tight production deadlines.
  • Shipment Preparation: Prepares final products for shipment by folding, boxing, and attaching shipping labels, ensuring accurate and timely order completion.
  • Workplace Maintenance: Maintains the work area daily by sweeping floors, emptying trash, storing tools/equipment, and replenishing supplies. Breaks down and discards outer casings and tubes.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conducts basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and cleanliness of production equipment,      reporting machine downtime to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Safety Focus: Prioritizes safety by utilizing safety equipment and knee pads, reporting any safety hazards or incidents to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Communication: Actively communicates production issues, shipment/delivery schedules, cost-saving opportunities, or process improvement initiatives to ensure smooth operations.
  • High Productivity: Performs all Material Handler functions at a high level, maintaining consistent effort to meet work order demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous Engagement: Remains constantly engaged, either performing duties to complete orders or maintaining      housekeeping, with minimal downtime.
  • Time Management: Appropriately manages timecard, schedule, and overtime in a role requiring sustained physical activity and efficient task transitions.
  • Teamwork: Maintains a high level of teamwork, willingly sharing knowledge or lending a helping hand to coworkers when needed.
  • Additional Duties: Performs similar or related duties as required or assigned.

Work Environment

This role operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment with moderate to high noise levels, requiring constant movement and efficient task execution.


Physical Demands

  • Physical Exertion: The incumbent will frequently lift approximately 45–60 pounds and must be able to push or pull up to 100 pounds with a dolly. The role demands constant standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending for the entire shift, often for 8 hours, including occasional overtime.
  • Vision: Must possess close, midrange, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as the ability to identify colors, judge distances, and adjust focus.
  • Speaking/Hearing: Must be able to give and receive information through speaking and listening.
  • Motor Coordination: Frequently required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, and maintain continuous physical activity throughout the workday. Periodically required to sit.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8 hours a day, including occasional overtime, in a high-energy environment requiring constant movement.
  • Ability to use, or willingness to learn to use, heat welder, grommet machine, and reciprocating saw.
  • Strong attention to quality details under tight deadlines.
  • High awareness of safety protocols.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office and internet browsers.
  • Flexibility to learn and perform other duties within the warehouse or print shop.
