Job Description:

You will play a vital role in supporting the Fiber Procurement Manager in managing and optimizing our wood fiber resources. Your responsibilities will include conducting forest checks, supplier relations management, inventory management, and ensuring sustainable harvesting practices. You will work closely with our forestry team to ensure the efficient and sustainable supply of wood fiber to our manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain relationships and regular communication with suppliers in all aspects of fiber procurement and delivery schedules. 
• Maintain complete overview of the market and report findings on opportunities and risks.
• Negotiate fiber contracts at least cost to required quality and sustainability specifications for existing and future facilities. 
• Manage daily delivery of all fiber types to ensure that the plants can maintain continuous operations.
• Maintain database of fiber suppliers to include information on price, volume, location of purchases, product type, supplier sustainability certificates, and additional information as needed. 
• Generate and track purchase orders.
• Generate and track source requests. 
• Conduct BMP Checks. 
• Conduct forest and mill sustainability checks.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry, agricultural economics, or business related.
• Procurement and logistic experience. 
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in forestry.
• Working knowledge of forestry and chain of custody certification
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS to track feedstock purchases
