Cloud Integration Engineer en Apogee Engineering, LLC

Apogee is seeking a Cloud Integration Engineer supporting SAP Mission Planning Data Systems (SMPDS) in support of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Long Range Stand Off (LRSO) program.

This is a full-time position located at Offutt AFB, NE. 

• Serve as the definitive source of knowledge, technique, or expert in a hybrid on-prem/cloud compute infrastructure, operating across multiple classification levels
• Ability to identify constraints between systems
• Analyze and provide leadership guidance in making high-level decisions in software applications/infrastructure design and implementation, and crafting technical standards, tools, and platforms
• Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
• Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and the user interface of the desired product
• Guide high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
• Function as an expert in the movement of information between systems
• Understand, articulate, and implement best practices related to this area of expertise
• Lead or be an active participant of a workgroup with the need for specialized knowledge
• Guide how his/her area of capability can resolve an organizational need and actively participate in all phases of the software development life cycle
• Be responsible for defining business requirements and recommending a technical approach to meet the needs of a specific software application
• Generate design specifications for software development, including translating business requirements
• Assist the Government in overseeing the development, testing, and implementation of the technical solution, and validate that the final product satisfies the defined requirements
• Review technical documentation such as user guides, training manuals, and system specifications, before distribution to end-users, and ensure his/her subject area is accurately represented

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen 
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
Certifications: Security+
Education: Bachelor's degree
Years of Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience to include:

• Subject matter expertise in Information Technology (IT) or software applications, with emphasis on cloud technology
• Demonstrated experience translating user requirements into capabilities/solutions, preferably delivered to the warfighter
• Extensive experience with AWS, AZURE, ORACLE or other Cloud technology

Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: TS w/SCI Eligibility
Education: Master's degree
Years of Experience: 8 years of experience to include:

• Knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force
• Experience working with the DoD/Federal Government
