Star Lumber & Supply Co., Inc. delivers confidence through our products and our people. The New Construction flooring team is seeking a Job Coordinator to join our team.
The ideal candidate is an outgoing self-starter with background in customer service and administration. This candidate has experience working with diverse teams, customers and managing multiple tasks in a fast paced office environment. Will provide support to multiple teams to aid the new home building process.
Your typical day
- Entering Estimates and add-on information into Order Entry software
- Place purchase orders with vendors utilizing the purchasing process
- Review order acknowledgements for accuracy
- Follow up and communicate product etas and timelines
- Confirm materials arrival for scheduled installation.
- Keeping project status updated in Project Management software to aid communication with other departments on the status of jobs
- Work with and build effective relationships with outside sales, designers, estimators, operations staff, project managers, supervisors and customers.
- Assist Warranty Team with claims.
Requirements
- 1+ year in an administrative role including; sales support, product management, payables, accounting, scheduling, inventory functions, or customer service.
- Experience in proactively coordinating multiple projects in an office setting.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-based atmosphere.
- Strong customer and solution focus.
- Possess proper phone etiquette, polite and professional communications skills.
- Highly organized, detailed and possess strong time management skills.
- Aptitude to meet deadlines and accomplish goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with flooring products.
- Knowledge of the construction industry or new home building process.
- Working knowledge of RFMS and Quickbase.
