We’re looking for a New Business Development Executive to join our Midlands team at LOCALiQ, part of Newsquest Media Group. You’ll be representing some of the region’s most trusted local news brands and offering cutting-edge digital marketing solutions that help businesses thrive. This is a consultative, client-facing role where you’ll be meeting with business owners and decision-makers across the Midlands, both in person and via video calls, to understand their goals and recommend tailored digital advertising strategies. From targeted social media campaigns to advanced display advertising, you’ll be selling solutions that make a real impact.
The candidate for this role will need to be based in one of the following areas: Worcester, Malvern, Hereford, Evesham, Redditch, Stourbridge, Cheltenham or Stroud, and will report on a hybrid basis to our office in Worcester.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and win new business by proactively reaching out to potential clients across the Midlands
- Work to clear financial targets and KPIs, consistently striving to exceed monthly revenue goals and performance benchmarks
- Manage and grow existing client accounts, providing ongoing support, identifying upsell opportunities, and increasing client spend through strategic recommendations
- Conduct meetings with decision-makers to understand their business goals and present tailored digital marketing solutions
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, using a consultative approach to move prospects through the sales cycle
- Deliver compelling sales presentations that showcase the value of LOCALiQ’s digital advertising products
- Build long-term relationships with clients by providing expert advice, excellent service, and ongoing support
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and campaign delivery for new clients
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and LOCALiQ’s evolving product suite to maintain a competitive edge
- Represent LOCALiQ with professionalism and credibility, acting as a trusted ambassador for our regional news brands
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Proven experience in B2B sales
- Can drive and lead new business deals
- Can grow existing client accounts
- Provides unrivalled customer service
- Strong understanding of digital advertising products such as display adverts and social media advertising. (advantageous)
- A consultative, client-focused approach to selling
- Confidence in face-to-face meetings, video calls, and phone-based outreach
- A passion for local media and a drive to succeed
- Attend meetings across the region
- A driving licence and a vehicle are essential
