Launched in 1999, Executive Education (ExecEd) has over two decades of experience working with middle and senior-level management professionals in organizations and developing customized non-credit and credit-based education programs. Long-term partnerships guide programming that enables a deep understanding of clients' needs and the design of custom programs to address those needs.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Executive Education, the Director provides financial and operational management of Executive Education customized credit and non-credit professional development programs offered through Beedie School of Business. As a member of the senior management team, the Director collaborates with the Executive Director, Academic Directors, Manager, Finance and Operations, Learning Technology Specialist and other staff, in the planning, design, and delivery of management development programs offered to the business and wider community. The Director works with the Executive Director, to develop business by targeting companies, industries, and institutions as new clients or partners. In consultation with the Executive Director, the incumbent of the position develops business plans and recommends marketing initiatives. 

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications, and six years of related experience including experience in adult education, and experience in the design, development, and delivery of custom credit and non-credit learning programs; financial management; marketing; client management; and business development, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Experience in program operations and team management.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills, university-to-business, and business to business.
  • Excellent leadership teamwork, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent budget planning and financial management skills.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver custom credit and non-credit learning programs.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to form partnerships in the business community and to establish networks across a wide spectrum of industry sectors.
  • Ability to utilize learning management systems, e-learning, or on-line platforms, in the development and delivery of executive programs.
