JOB DESCRIPTION:
Employment-focused, data-driven, nonprofit organization serving court-involved individuals currently seeking a part-time Social Worker (MSW). This is a part-time hourly position, Monday through Friday. Some evening/weekend events may be required. New Jersey Reentry Corporation operates facilities statewide, and the candidate will be expected, at times, to travel to other sites as needed to provide social work coverage in the event of another social worker’s absence.
Responsibilities:
The Social Worker will, at a minimum, conduct biopsychosocial intake assessments; provide ongoing case management/coordinated referrals; engage in crisis intervention as needed; conduct ongoing community outreach and engagement; provide precise data entry to meet clinical standards; conduct data evaluation and review; oversee the discharge process and relevant data processing for active clients.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional social work experience
- Working knowledge of criminal justice issues
- Experience conducting biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and case management in a high-volume setting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and exceptional data entry skills
- A strengths-based, respectful, and trauma-informed approach to services is an absolute requirement for the position
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary client-centered team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training in Motivational Interviewing or trauma-informed care
- Direct experience with court-involved citizens
- Experience with program and process evaluation
Minimum Education Required:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) and in good standing; professional experience will be considered
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of (2) years of professional social work experience.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
The individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management, and problem-solving/analytical skills; knowledge of criminal justice issues; knowledge of Microsoft Excel; a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach; and work in an interdisciplinary client-centered team.
Pay: The starting pay is $27.5 per hour. Negotiable.
