Responsible for all health professional recruiting efforts system-wide, including recruitment for health centers and hospital, represents Cherokee Nation recruiting from start to finish including advertising opportunities, sourcing, pre-screening candidates, on-site interview scheduling and facilitation, contract facilitation, and keeping current on physician and other health professional recruitment strategies and best practices.
Job Duties:Routine duties shall include providing health care services to individuals eligible for services following the self-governance compact and funding agreement between the Cherokee Nation and the United States executed under the authority of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act. Exercises discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of significance. Coordinates all department correspondence for prospective professionals. Discusses personnel needs with department supervisors to prepare and implement a recruitment program. Provides information on the organization's facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants. Corresponds with job applicants to notify them of employment consideration. Obtains approval and submits all Health Professional vacancies for job postings. Advertises vacancies/opportunities through residency/fellowship programs, job boards, and various social media platforms. Source candidates through various databases and agency sites. Represents Cherokee Nation at job fairs, exhibits, residency programs, etc. to present and/or inform parties on job opportunities and to provide general information. Pre-screens candidates for qualifications and potential cultural fit. Distributes CVs, candidate summaries, and references to the selection team/hiring supervisor. Serves as the primary contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, including pre-screening, scheduling of phone interviews, scheduling and facilitating the on-site visit for candidates and their spouses/significant others. Makes travel arrangements and processes travel for on-site interviews. Creates and distributes the Letter of Consideration and medical application and assists with contract negotiations. Maintains a working knowledge of candidate contracts and the contract process, compensation, benefits, loan repayment programs, and the credentialing process. Maintains knowledge of qualifications, certifications, and licensure of positions recruiting for. Executes all aspects of the recruitment process, including compliance with standardized recruitment processes, protocols, procedures, and timelines. Prepares and maintains reports on candidates and recruitment efforts. Participates in recruitment strategy meetings as needed. Educates and collaborates with medical staff and administration regarding the physician recruitment process, market availability of candidates, compensation updates, specialty trends, and other key components. Maintains a comprehensive database that includes candidate CVs, profiles, contact information, tracking, etc. Works closely with teams involved in the health recruitment process to accomplish the mission and vision of Cherokee Nation Health Services. Required to work alternate scheduled hours and days for recruiting purposes. This position will also require travel for recruiting purposes. Other duties may be assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Health, Science, Public Relations or Business related field; or graduate from an accredited nursing or other medical training program; no substitutions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
An additional two (2) years' experience in business, marketing, public relations, or healthcare.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of and general use with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project), internet research, and database functionality. Use in all forms of communication with applicants of Spreadsheet and Word Processing software. Experience in communicating with applicants through modern technological sources such as Skype, text, email blasts, etc. required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Driver's license is required to travel to educational facilities, health centers/hospitals, conferences/events, or any site/location for recruiting purposes.

Ability to problem-solve and generate creative solutions to recruitment challenges while working effectively with physicians, medical staff, administration, and others. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer-service focus and the ability to effectively influence internal and external customers.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG), or by the General Services Administration (GSA), or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
