The Production Scheduler assists Global Supply Chain in achieving strategic plan initiatives, by exceeding customer service goals, managing inventory, and coordinating supply and demand. Additional objectives include support of new product commercialization activity, delivering cost savings, and supporting cross-functional projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
Release Production Orders daily, based on rolling plan and defined sequence.
Resolve material availability issues, coordinating with the Supply Network Planner as needed.
Interface with Operations and the production floor by attending daily Tier meetings and provide status updates; escalating issues when appropriate.
Monitor production to plan, resolve/communicate local issues and update the Supply Network Planner.
Detail scheduling to local needs, taking into account needs of maintenance, tooling, sterilization requirements, protocol work, etc.
Ensure the Production Wheel and routings are aligned within the production teams and the plan is followed by routinely monitoring progress.
Proactively work with production teams to understand any necessary Production Wheel changes such as; new products, scheduled changeover delays or revisions, optimization efforts.
Update Production Wheel with agreement from Value Stream Managers & Team Leaders when required.
Identify and agree route changes.
Ensure master data is updated in the Rapid Response planning system.
Manage and execute projects in order to support product transfers, new product development, material changes and corporate/local strategic initiatives.
Collaborate and lead production teams to measure/report production fulfillment metrics.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions of the Role**:

Frequent movement over large manufacturing floor area
Constant utilization of listening skills, both in person and over the phone
Work Experience Requirements:
Number of Overall Years Necessary: 2-5
Previous experience with production planning, inventory control involving material changes, and new product development required.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related manufacturing field preferred
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
ERP knowledge required
APICS certification or other degree/technical certification preferred
Knowledge of customer service, inventory management concepts and operations is essential
Strong attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills
Leadership and coaching experience in a team based manufacturing environment preferred
