Atomus Partners is excited to support our client's recruitment for a dynamic Business Development Officer!


About our client:


three+one® provides liquidity and treasury solutions to public entities, including municipalities, counties, school districts, authorities, higher education institutions (public and private), and nonprofit organizations. We serve as a liquidity data partner that helps simplify cash, banking, and investment decisions so our clients can confidently maximize the value of their cash.

Our technology and partnership empowers entities to make data-driven financial decisions. We uncover new sources of income and savings for entities looking to innovate and identify new resources for our clients by identifying all cash as a revenue-generating asset. On average, our work leads to 30% more earnings and 73% more cash being invested confidently.

Our core services include: (1) cashVest®, a platform for liquidity monitoring and forecasting, (2) rfpPrep®, a digital tool to streamline banking and investment procurement, and (3) muniBank, a banking fee benchmarking solution. Additional tools are currently in development.


The Role:

The Business Development Officer, under the direction of the Sales Director, is instrumental in expanding our national footprint by building relationships and introducing our solutions to leaders in public sector and higher education finance. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team while owning your sales pipeline—developing new opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and driving platform adoption. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual who thrives on helping clients succeed.


Duties and Responsibilities:

· Lead outreach, discovery calls, product demos, and presentations with C-suite executives at public sector and higher education institutions.

· Build and manage a strong sales pipeline by identifying target markets, analyzing public financial data, and executing strategic follow-ups using our Value Selling methodology.

· Develop trusted relationships through meaningful conversations to uncover client goals and align them with our solutions.

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities across counties, cities, school districts, and colleges/universities.

· Consistently meet or exceed performance metrics related to prospecting, outreach, and engagement.

· Provide regular updates on sales activity and pipeline progress to company leadership.

· Maintain accurate, timely records of all activities in our CRM system.

· Monitor industry trends to stay informed and add value to client interactions.

· Support contract development and assist in negotiations (with leadership support).

· Travel up to 35% to attend industry conferences, present at training events, and drive revenue growth.

· Manage all aspects of conference participation—from planning and engagement to post-event follow-up—to maximize results.



Requirements

 

Qualifications and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Economics, IT, or a related field (Master’s preferred but not required)

· 1–3 years of proven sales experience preferred

· Familiarity with local government or higher education sectors is a plus

· Experience in public finance, treasury management, or administrative operations is a strong advantage

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office Suite

· Comfortable using Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.)

· Eager to learn, results-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Key Skills and Competencies:

· Proven ability to drive sales results through effective prospecting, territory management, and strategic sales planning

· Demonstrated success in closing business by aligning solutions to client needs; familiarity with value-based selling methodologies (e.g., Value Selling Framework)

· Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for diverse audiences

· Highly professional and trustworthy, with a commitment to integrity and discretion when handling sensitive client information and proprietary systems

· Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

· Growth-oriented mindset with the ability to accept and act on feedback constructively

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with minimal supervision

Pay: The salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 annually PLUS commission compensation, which provides an opportunity for accelerated base compensation increases and cash incentive upon achieving revenue objectives.
