MDU Resources Group, Inc., a publicly traded company on the NYSE and a member of the S&P midcap 400, is looking for a financial professional to join its SEC and Financial Reporting team in Bismarck, North Dakota. The SEC and Financial Reporting team is responsible for the preparation and consolidation of financial statements and reports that are filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Financial Analyst I ($55,500 - $69,380)
Must possess a working knowledge of accounting fundamentals and principles at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in accounting, finance or related field.
Financial Analyst II ($62,130 - $77,660)
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; and
Two years’ related accounting/finance experience.
Classification/level is dependent on experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
This position is located onsite in Bismarck, ND.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the analysis and reporting of financial transactions and statistics for MDU Resources, its utility divisions, and subsidiaries.
Assists in the preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual MDU Resources financial statements and reports for the Board of Directors, management, stockholders, SEC and the FERC.
Assists in research, analysis and evaluation of existing and/or proposed accounting principles, procedures and disclosures and the implementation of procedures to assure proper financial reporting and compliance.
Maintains a current working knowledge of applicable accounting requirements and financial statement requirements, disclosures and preparation methods.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
