SUMMARY:

The Brand Manager will be responsible for the management of all business activities for a portion of the Retail Sandwich and Handhelds business.  This role manages the P&L to meet Annual Operating Plan objectives and supports our Strategic Planning process to collaborates on long and short-term strategies, sustaining innovation, and sales programs that will achieve volume, profit, and share objectives. 

Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Manage budget and MAP spending for the Retail Sandwich and Handheld category.  

  • Collaborate with the sales to understand and integrate customer strategies into the innovation pipeline. Proactively work with these partners to on innovation forecast accuracy, maximization of opportunities and development of plans to deliver against JBP objectives. 

  • Work collaboratively with Insights, Sensory, R&D, Customer Planning & Development, Sales Strategy & Planning, and the Business Unit to identify new ideas, build research and development plans, screen ideas and optimize our innovation offerings to meet consumer/operator needs and have a clear point of differentiation vs. competition. 

  • Own the P&L for Retail branded Sandwich and Handheld business, including developing and executing business plans, pricing and/or cost savings strategies to deliver against category volume, profit, and customer needs. 

  • Own the monthly volume forecast for assigned categories, coordinating between demand and supply planning to deliver best-in-class forecast accuracy.  

  • Engage and lead cross-functional teams for assigned projects. Monitor industry trends, market share and competitive activity. 

  • Partner with innovation team to develop and execute innovation plans including concept development, feasibility validation, product and packaging, R&D, business proposal and approval project execution, Customer sell in and tracking of in-market performance. 

  • Support the brand strategy and marketing plan and execution; proactively develop campaign draft communication and provide to Sales Strategy & Planning for integration into sales communication plans; independent agency project relationship management. 

  • Act as liaison with all other corporate functions to ensure business initiatives receive necessary focus. 

  • Seek opportunities for personal development and proactively identify ways to add value to Business Unit teams.  

  • Lead a team of 1 direct report with ownership of the Branded Retail Sandwich and Handheld category to ensure delivery of Annual Operating Plan objectives in the business. 

  • Identify development opportunities for direct reports and provide training and mentorship as needed to ensure team members develop talents and capabilities for successful performance and career growth. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred. 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience preferably in consumer-packaged goods products marketing. 

  • Proven track record in managing and meeting volume and profit targets. 

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills. 

  • Strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams. 

  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. 

Location: Tyson corporate office Springdale, AR. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
