Main Tasks
Product Design & Development
- Lead design of M+H filtration products, from concept to 2D/3D modeling per customer and internal standards.
- Drive DFMEA, NPI workflows and functional product release with complete technical documentation.
- Ensure robust design validation and seamless product launch.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Champion cost reduction, value engineering and product optimization during serial production.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for design and process issues.
Project & Change Management
- Manage cross-functional project execution across the product lifecycle—on time, within budget.
- Own and execute Technical Change Management (TCM) with full accountability.
Stakeholder & Communication Excellence
- Translate customer requirements into technical solutions; ensure timely resolution of open points.
- Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to align on technical deliverables.
- Prepare and deliver clear technical documentation and presentations.
Knowledge Sharing & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to M+H standards, norms and patent protection protocols.
- Share best practices and technical knowledge across teams.
Team Leadership
- Mentor junior engineers, foster collaboration and build a high-performing team culture.
- Handle conflict resolution, performance feedback and team motivation.
Your Profile
- Proficiency in CADtools mainly in CATIA.
- Understanding of filtration technologies (air, oil, fuel, cabin filters).
- Knowledge of materials science, especially polymers and composites.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly(DFA).
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and ISO/TS 16949 standards.
- Experience with injection molding, pleating, ultrasonic welding and assembly
- Exposure to 3D printing/additive manufacturing for prototyping
Experience
Qualification & Experience:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8 - 12 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in (automotive or similar) product Design & development processes.
