We’re on the lookout for a data-driven eCommerce Trading Manager to join our team at Buyagift & Red Letter Days. In this role, you’ll take ownership of online performance across 2 categories – using data, insight and optimisation to drive sales and enhance the customer journey.
You’ll get stuck into performance analytics, pricing strategies, and promotional planning, using numbers to shape decisions and deliver real results. It’s the perfect role for someone who thrives on turning insight into action, whilst working in a cross functional and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Own trading performance for your categories, analysing KPIs such as revenue, margin, AOV, conversion, and traffic
Optimise on-site merchandising: from navigation and product placement to search performance and funnel efficiency
Build and maintain forecasting models to identify growth opportunities and flag commercial risks
Develop and execute promotional plans in collaboration with Marketing and Buying
Partner with Buying on range planning by identifying gaps and supporting decisions with insight
Track competitor activity, pricing, and wider market trends to inform trading strategy
Collaborate across UX, supply, and marketing teams to improve site experience and campaign effectiveness
Create clear, actionable reports on category performance and share recommendations with stakeholders
About you:
Experience in ecommerce trading or online merchandising, with hands-on use of web analytics or reporting tools
Proven ability to forecast commercial performance and make data-led decisions
Demonstrated success in delivering trading results and improving conversion
Skilled collaborator – confident engaging with stakeholders across Marketing, Buying, UX and beyond
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Experience shaping pricing and promotional strategies is desirable
Familiarity with forecasting tools or models is a plus
Understanding of range planning in a multi-brand or multi-category ecommerce environment
A proactive mindset and high attention to detail
