Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Project Manager to join a team of qualified and diverse individuals onsite in Huntsville, AL supporting the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division as a member of the Employee Experience Team.
In this position, the selected candidate will have responsibility for onboarding talent and employee experience opportunities. As this work spans across a diverse set of stakeholders, this individual will be expected to collaborate effectively and partner across organizations -- Human Resources, Communications, Site Operations, – communicate, and support change management associated with such programs for the Division.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitation of Division onboarding:
- Improvement of Division orientation and programmatic offerings from Pre-hire through year 1 of work with Strategic Deterrent Systems
- Document SDS Division level processes, procedures and guidance documents aligned to the Space Systems sector
- Help develop and shape additional programs/processes to improve the overall Employee Experience

- Executing through a program or project start-up and effectively rolling out and managing change

These positions will have a standard work schedule of 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of related work, 3 Years with Masters and some experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule. Additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Experience developing content, packaging, and briefing communications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Up to 25% travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active in-scope DoD Secret clearance or higher
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Some experience with Agile processes
- The ability to execute communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs.
