Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant is a crucial member of the finance team of a world-class manufacturer, works on-site providing full range of financial responsibilities on a small-sized manufacturing entity, as well as assisting with day-to-day transactions of parent company. This position is closely supported by senior finance team members and has a path for growth within the finance department. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm to collaborate with finance and operations, and desire to be developed in a manufacturing accounting environment. 


Main Responsibilities:

· Responsible for certain monthly close activities, including month-end close journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

· Responsible for accounts payable activities for subsidiary by processing and entering invoices accurately and timely, matching invoices to purchase orders, ensuring prompt vendor payments, and communicating with vendors when necessary. 

· Administer vendor records and new vendor set-up for subsidiary and assist with material consumption tracking.

· Assist and prepare documentation for external audits. 

· Assist and coordinate with physical inventory count at manufacturing plant, warehouses, and retail stores.

· Provide support to finance management and other internal departments as needs arise, including ad-hoc reports, and special projects. 

· Prepare financial statements and variance analysis for subsidiary.

· Assist in budgeting and forecasting process.

Requirements

Qualifications, education, and experience:

· BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field

· 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience

· Experience with a public accounting firm and/or SEC registered company a plus

· Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, x-lookup and other functions and formulas) - must be comfortable analyzing and manipulating large data sets

· Must be a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment

· Superior problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

· Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, and top management



 The estimated annualized base salary range for this role is $75,000-$85,000. Compensation will vary based on skills and experience.
