Your role
This position will contribute to scaling the taxable fixed income sales business by enhancing client coverage and supporting reliable execution and idea generation for ultra high net worth clients and financial advisors. The ideal candidate will blend analytical rigor with practical market execution to help scale and modernize our approach across UGM.
• serve as a primary contact for financial advisors and client teams on taxable fixed income markets and trade execution.
• deliver timely updates on market trends, rate shifts, credit conditions, and sector themes.
• generate and promote actionable investment ideas—particularly in fixed income—with relevant implementation advice.
• support sales and trading with revenue-focused business development and client experience initiatives.
• present market insights and trade strategies to internal audiences through various channels.
• work with other product teams to increase department revenue and grow client business.
• develop and assess fixed income portfolios.
Detailed salary information:
• New York: the salary range for this role is $115000 to $160000
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. This is a high-impact opportunity to join a core area of UBS’s capital markets platform, working directly with senior sales and trading professional to support and grow our taxable fixed income sales business
Your expertise
• knowledge of fixed income instruments, interest rate dynamics, and credit markets
• analytical skills and ability to work with large numerical data sets
• ability to communicate with internal stakeholders and financial advisors
• verbal and written communication skills for interaction with Advisors, clients, and trading teams
• advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• possession of FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 63/65, or Series 66) or willingness to obtain them within a specified timeframe
• experience with fixed income platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Tradeweb)
• Bloomberg API skills
• previous experience supporting fixed income sales or trading desks
• knowledgeable in trade operations, regulations, and order management
