We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Armorer to join our team and support our growing operations.
Position Summary
The Armorer will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, assembly, and repair of firearms within the SDS Arms product line. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of professional experience working with firearms, a strong understanding of firearm function and safety, and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, clean, assemble, and disassemble firearms, ensuring they meet company and industry safety/quality standards.
- Perform routine and advanced maintenance, repairs, and modifications on firearms, including 1911 pistols and magazine-fed shotguns.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions, recommending corrective action.
- Support product evaluation, testing, and quality control processes.
- Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to assist with technical issues and warranty claims.
- Ensure compliance with all ATF regulations, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Maintain organized work areas, tools, and inventory of parts.
- Provide technical expertise and training to internal staff when required.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years as an armorer, gunsmith, or in a related firearms technical role.
- Education/Training: Completion of an armorer or gunsmith certification program preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of firearm systems, particularly 1911 pistols and shotguns.
- Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and modifying firearms.
- Familiarity with ATF regulations and firearms compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and record-keeping skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
