PALFINGER is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our manufacturing facility in Council Bluffs, IA. In this role, you will partner with leadership and the Controller to provide financial insights that support informed business decisions. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who wants to contribute their expertise and grow with a company that values both heritage and future success.
_____Your Responsibilities
- Assist management in reviewing financial results, including P&L, balance sheets, KPIs, and audits
- Maintain accurate account balances, structures, written policies, and financial procedure documentation
- Support A/R, A/P, cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, and fixed asset management
- Manage technical accounting issues during month-end and quarter-end close, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
- Oversee government licenses, registrations, renewals, and cross-train with team members to strengthen overall capabilities
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 5+ years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles with proven analytical skills and experience preparing accurate reports across all timeframes
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; skilled with ERP systems (SAP preferred), Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams on cost standards and analysis
- Excellent communication skills, strong time management, and a self-motivated, energetic approach to handling both routine and ad hoc projects
