Job Title: Utility Operator
Location: Petersburg, VA
Pay Rate: $20.43 – $39.26 per hour (based on skills and experience)
Schedule: DuPont Swing Shift (12-hour rotating schedule)
Job Type: Direct Hire

About the Role
We are seeking 8 Utility Operators to join our team. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a strong industrial or manufacturing background who want to advance their careers in a stable, growth-oriented environment. You will be trained to operate heavy equipment and perform material handling duties while ensuring accuracy and safety in production processes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and oxyacetylene torches safely and effectively
  • Handle materials and support production operations
  • Use gauges, calipers, and tape measures to ensure precision and quality
  • Adhere to all safety standards and company policies
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced industrial setting


    • Preferred Background
  • Prior experience in metals, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments is preferred
  • Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment is a plus

    • What You’ll Do
  • Cut and bundle steel to meet custom orders
  • Operate saws, cranes, forklifts, and conveyors
  • Perform quality checks and follow ASTM standards
  • Keep your area clean and organized (5S)
  • Communicate clearly with your team and follow safety rules


    • What You Need
  • 1–3 years of industrial or production experience
  • Forklift and/or crane experience
  • Ability to pass entrance and fit-for-duty exams
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, bend, and operate equipment
