This role oversees data integration activities within our general ledger, financial products subledger, and peripheral systems. You’ll join a technology group that’s tightly coupled with our finance team to automate business processes and unlock capacity for enhanced analytics and new ideas.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and data flows.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of new applications and system enhancements in partnership with finance teams.
- Analyze existing financial processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend effective solutions.
- Facilitate system testing, including the creation of test plans and coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for data-related issues across financial systems.
In office schedule: This position will be working in the office 2-3 days per week.
The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $142,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Required Technical Skills:
- Advanced development experience with SAP Native HANA
- Proficiency in Native HANA SQL
- Expertise in Smart Data Integration (SDI) – Flowgraphs & Procedures
- Experience with Smart Data Access (SDA)
- Strong knowledge of Calculation Views and Analytic Views
Functional Knowledge & Reporting:
- Deep understanding of Financial Accounting for Life & Annuity Insurances
- Experience in Ledger and Sub-Ledger Data Analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP Analysis for Office, SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
- Familiarity with Financial Product Subledger (FPSL)
- Exposure to SAP BW for HANA
- Working knowledge of ABAP and Core Data Services (CDS) Views
Skills
Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
Documentation Architecture and Design: Knowledge of documentation architecture and design; ability to build efficient processes, use appropriate tools and technique , and create complete documentation portfolios for software or technology products.
Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.
Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.
