As an Engineering Technician Intern, you will be responsible for repairing and replacing circuit board and connecters as needed to restore functionality of test systems.

Responsibilities:
- Communication with test operators and Operations Team for immediate action needed on test stations.
- Daily assessment of down test stations and repair prioritization based on capacity needs.
- Tester and board level inventory entry into our tracking database.
- Marking and/or labeling of boards needing repair.
- Evaluating down test stations and repairing/replacing boards as needed.
- Reporting daily repair needs or any equipment not available for repair.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology (or equivalent)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in board-level diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Skilled in debugging circuit boards, interpreting schematics, and using benchtop instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital meters, GPIB interface)
- Experienced in soldering and assembling surface-mount and through-hole components for board-level repair
- Strong ability to identify root causes of false test failures or passes
- Proficient with test equipment and tools for electronics assembly, repair, and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated soldering/de-soldering expertise (SMT and through-hole), with certification preferred
- Capable of reading and interpreting technical diagrams, procedures, drawings, and schematics
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
Preferences
- Experience operating and repairing automatic test equipment
- Experience with Nextest Testers
- Familiarity with large SOC testers such as Teradyne UltraFlex or Advantest 93K.
- Familiarity with test coding in VB and/or C programming languages.
