Position: Diagnostic Manager

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Location: Norwood, OH

Responsibilities:

The Diagnostic Manager is responsible for the daily operations, staffing, compliance, and strategic oversight of the Imaging Department (MRI/EEG). The role ensures high-quality imaging services, regulatory compliance and efficient workflows in alignment with accreditation standards and company policies. The manager also performs imaging duties as a working technologist when needed and acts as a liaison with radiologists. Your responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the policies, programs, and budgets to ensure the quality and safety of services provided.
  • Recent experience and capacity to work as an MRI Technologist.
  • Assign, direct and schedule day-to-day work of assigned staff in the Diagnostic Department.
  • Schedule and ensure adequate staffing coverage.
  • Coordinate and maintain readiness for the ACR Accreditation process.
  • Implement and oversee department specific protocols, safety procedures, and quality assurance programs.
  • Ensure proper documentation, maintenance, and calibration of all MRI and EEG equipment.
  • Manage onboarding, training and ongoing competency evaluations of assigned staff.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with contracted radiologist group.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to organization planning as it relates to imaging services.
  • Oversee new testing procedures and related protocols. Evaluate, recommend, and introduce new equipment and techniques.
  • Attend and participate in workshops and seminars to keep current in changes and standards in the MRI and EEG imaging field.
  • Maintain required licenses, registrations, and certifications in an active/current status.
  • Schedules and coordinates equipment maintenance or repair as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with required training and regulations, including but not limited to ACR, HIPAA, OSHA, CMS Guidelines, Medicare Parts C and D, and any additional training or standards as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned

Background and Experience:

  • AART (R) Registry required
  • AART (MR) Registry required
  • Associates Degree of Science in Radiological Technology required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience working as a certified MRI Tech
  • 1 year of leadership experience preferred
  • Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and practice management system is required
  • Current BCLS certification preferred
  • Ohio Department of Health Licensed for Radiology preferred
Job Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Magnetic Resonance, radiographic procedures, and operating principles of instrumentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
  • Capacity to deal with severely ill patients.
  • Ability to deal with patients and staff with tact and diplomacy. Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks at once.
  • Ability to travel to other locations as needed.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, approximately 90% of scheduled work hours.
  • The ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones and computerized health information management system for medical records, etc.
  • Ability to use standard medical equipment.
  • Ability to file, including pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and lifting up to 51 pounds unassisted. An occasional need to life patient during transfer/turn process may occur with appropriate assistance.
  • Occasional stress from dealing with many staff and patients may occur.
  • Physical responsibilities will vary according to specific areas/departments.
