Production Technician
Location: Plastpro – 6800 Center Road, Ashtabula, OH
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: 1st Shift
Rate: $18.00
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Production Technician to join our team. This position plays a key role in maintaining an efficient and safe warehouse environment by setting up and securing racking systems, performing light electrical work, and using hand and power tools for general facility support.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and maintain warehouse racking systems in compliance with safety standards.
- Perform minor electrical tasks (installing outlets, lighting, and basic wiring) under supervision.
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools, including drills, saws, and grinders.
- Conduct routine inspections of racks and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with warehouse layout adjustments, equipment installations, and facility maintenance.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Operate fork lift when necessary
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and all company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, construction, or facility maintenance preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safe work practices.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, or technical instructions.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Work Environment
- Warehouse setting with exposure to machinery, tools, and varying temperatures.
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and steel-toed footwear.
