National/ Key Accounts Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Director of National Accounts is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth within our organization's Wholesale channel. Oversees a team of account managers and collaborates closely with internal departments to establish and maintain relationships with key national retail accounts. Your primary focus will be on maximizing sales opportunities, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving market share in the retail sector.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION (Other duties may be assigned.):
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for national retail accounts to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
- Manage a team of account managers, providing guidance, support, and coaching to maximize their performance and ensure consistent achievement of sales goals.
- Identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers at national retail accounts, cultivating long-term partnerships and driving customer loyalty.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and product development, to align strategies, address customer needs, and drive growth opportunities.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts, identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats, adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
- Develop and manage the annual sales budget for the national accounts, tracking performance against targets and implementing corrective measures when necessary.
- Analyze sales data and market research to provide accurate forecasts, sales reports, and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, retail trends, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a customer-centric culture within the retail sales team.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in sales management, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong experience in national account management, with a successful record of developing and nurturing relationships with major retail clients.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team, driving performance and achieving revenue targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the retail industry, including understanding of market dynamics, trends, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in analyzing sales data, market research, and financial reports.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and generate reports.
