Summary
The Guest Relations Coordinator is the first point of contact and is responsible for front desk operations and delivering an exceptional campus visit experience and effective oversight of the admissions experience. Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Events and Visits, the Guest Relations Coordinator performs a variety of duties, including but not limited to: greeting visitors, providing answers to prospective students through review of information within the university student information system and communicating with other areas or departments. The individual must be able to anticipate constituent questions and should have the ability to thoroughly review and interpret information to answer questions. Perform general administrative duties for the Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions Department. Must be able to multitask and possess good oral communication and customer service skills.

Essential Functions
Provide an exceptional front desk experience to all admissions guests by:
Serve as the first point of contact for visitors to the Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions Office, ensuring a welcoming and professional front desk experience.
Greet and assist prospective students, families, and guests, providing high-quality customer service and hospitality during campus visits.
Coordinate and manage the daily front desk operations, ensuring an efficient and organized reception area.
Respond to inquiries from prospective students and their families via phone, email, and in-person interactions by utilizing the university’s student information system and relevant resources.
Provide accurate and timely information regarding admissions policies, procedures, and campus visit logistics.
Anticipate visitors’ needs and proactively address questions or concerns by reviewing and interpreting data and university resources.
Maintain awareness of and communicate effectively about admissions deadlines, visit schedules, and campus offerings.
Collaborate with the Associate Director of Events and Visits to support the planning, coordination, and execution of campus visits and admission events.
Perform general administrative support functions, including scheduling appointments, managing daily visitor check-in logs, preparing materials, and updating records.
Collaborate with the staff to continually identify areas to enhance a high-quality visit experience. Actively participate in the development and implementation stages of new enhancements.
Perform other work duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in any field is required.
1-3 years of relevant experience.
Must have intermediate experience MS Office Suite.
Familiarity with desktop and web-based conferencing tools
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effectively present information and respond to questions from prospective students and parents, high school counselors, the university community, and the general public, which may include public/group speaking engagements.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to articulate the value and benefits of a liberal arts education to a variety of audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills, cross-cultural communication skills, and being a good listener. Sensitivity to others and the ability to work well in a team.
