JOB TITLE: Attendance Clerk

PAY GRADE: C04
STARTING SALARY: $ 129.26/DAY
Primary Purpose:
Maintain accurate attendance records.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/ Skills:
- Computer skills, file maintenance, record keeping and verbal and written communication skills
Experience:
- Previous General Office Experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Type, prepare, distribute, and file records, reports, correspondence, etc. related to attendance or as directed by supervisor.
- Maintain accurate computer records of students concerning attendance and withdrawals
- Maintain student location cards and be able to locate students.
- Work with district attendance officers and parents regarding students with excessive absences.
- Follow established guidelines for checking students in and out of school.
- Make, receive, route telephone calls; take and distribute messages.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
