We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical SMB Profit Manager to lead profit management strategy and execution across Lenovo’s Small and Medium Business (SMB) Category organization. This role is responsible for optimizing financial performance across multiple sales routes, managing gross-to-net budgets, and providing strategic insights to drive sustainable growth. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of channel economics, financial modeling, and cross-functional collaboration. They will act as a critical link between finance, sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure profitability and strategic alignment across all SMB-related initiatives. Key Responsibilities 1. Profitability Management by Route: Own and manage profit performance across SMB sub-routes including:Traditional Business Partner ChannelMid-market SMB sellersEtail PartnersRetail partners selling Commercial ProductsLenovo eComm SMBAnalyze revenue, cost, and margin dynamics across these sub-routes and provide actionable insights to improve overall SMB profitability. 2. Gross-to-Net Budget Ownership: Lead end-to-end management of the SMB gross-to-net (GTN) budget including planning, forecasting, tracking, and optimization of spend.Monitor accruals, promotions, deal structures and partner incentives to ensure alignment with financial targets and ROI expectations.Support quarterly and annual planning cycles with detailed GTN modeling and variance analysis. 3. Strategic Decision Support: Partner closely with SMB sales, product, pricing, and channel marketing teams to align financial strategy with business goals.Provide strategic recommendations on deal structuring, pricing adjustments, rebate programs, and promotional investment. 4. Reporting & Insights: Build and deliver regular performance dashboards and executive summaries highlighting route-level performance, risks, and opportunities.Develop KPI frameworks to track efficiency of GTN investments and route-level contribution margins. 5. Process & Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, audit requirements, and budget governance frameworks.Identify and implement process improvements in budgeting and forecasting accuracy. Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), channel finance, or business management in a technology or consumer electronics company.5+ years of experience with SMB go-to-market models and gross-to-net financial mechanics.Desired QualificationsProven experience managing budgets and financial performance across multiple sales channels.Advanced Excel skills; experience with Lenovo financial systems and/or commercial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, or Tableau is a plus.Excellent communication and business partnering skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and a bias for action.The base salary range budgeted for this position is 130,000 to 170,000.
