Job Summary: The Quality Coordinator of The Autism Program of Illinois is responsible for assisting in the oversight and state reporting of the clinical/programmatic aspects of The Autism Program of Illinois (TAP), administered by Hope.
Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in social services, human relations, or related field or a bachelor’s degree in social services, human relations, or related field with 3- 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Advanced knowledge of evidence-based, best practices in the diagnosis and treatment of autism.
- Extensive knowledge of autism resources and services throughout the state of Illinois.
- Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Ability to travel throughout Illinois, 15% of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 4 years’ experience working in a social service or non-profit organization.
- Knowledge of grant writing, management, and GATA requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Monitors, tracks, evaluates, and provides oversight of program delivery by TAP network partners to ensure quality outcomes.
- Collaborates with the TAP Director to determine program evaluation needs of the TAP network and implements procedures and timelines to meet the needs.
- Uses best practices or relevant literature to guide the evaluation plan.
- Draws on a variety of evaluation instruments and procedures.
- Works with network partners to identify program specific indicators of quality programming and provides feedback to ensure quality outcomes.
- Develops and implements data collection tools, including protocols and procedures.
- Conducts quarterly data analysis activities and prepares the periodic performance reports for the state of Illinois quarterly.
- Delivers quarterly feedback to network partners regarding quality improvement in programmatic reporting and their progress toward deliverables.
- Conducts quarterly monitoring activities to ensure network partners are adhering to the terms of the grant agreement.
- Compiles each TAP partner’s performance data, annually, regarding programmatic deliverables, timeliness and accuracy in programmatic reporting, and compliance with monitoring requests.
- Co-facilitates annual TAP partner evaluations.
- Tracks annual programmatic data, conducts annual data analysis, and authors the end of year report highlighting the TAP network’s accomplishments and comparative data across fiscal years.
- Conducts clinically based visits to TAP network partners to monitor and ensure the quality of services provided.
- Collaborates with the communication and marketing teams to provide content for the TAP Newsletter, website, and social media.
- Gathers and disseminates information on best practices regarding the assessment and treatment of autism throughout the network.
- Actively participates in TAP meetings and events as assigned.
- Serves as a back-up for the TAP Director, TAP Training Coordinator, and TAP Resource Coordinator as needed.

Physical & Basic Requirements:
- Understand and execute detailed communication about the grant.
- Use technology to communicate with others, collect data, and any required documentation.
- Maintain extended focus and attention to details.
- Ability to proofread and edit documentation for accuracy.
- Ability to drive to designated partner sites throughout the state of IL or procure alternative transportation.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily performed in an indoor office setting with little exposure to excessive noise, temperature, etc.
- A variety of offsite environments could include outpatient pediatric clinic settings, University clinic settings, local agencies, etc.
- May be exposed to contagious disease or infectious materials, but potential for personal harm and injury is limited when universal precautions are used.
- Work hours are standard business hours with occasional early morning, late evening, or weekend hours required when travelling to TAP programs throughout the state of IL.
